David Goldsmith
VP, Portfolio Manager
David Goldsmith is a Portfolio Manager at Baron Capital specializing in U.S. small-cap growth equities. He joined the Firm in 2006 as a Research Analyst and has 23 years of research experience. Earlier in his career, he was a research analyst at Claiborne Capital Group and an investment banking analyst in the health care group at Banc of America Securities. David earned his MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and graduated cum laude from Duke University with a BS in Economics. He grew up in Harrison, New York and now lives in Port Washington, New York, with his wife, two children, and dog. Outside of work, he enjoys playing sports and is an avid Duke basketball fan.
