José Barria

José Barria is a Research Analyst at Baron Capital focused on emerging markets and international growth equities. He joined the Firm in 2015 and has 19 years of research experience. Previously, he was an equity research analyst at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and an equity research associate at Citi Investment Research. Earlier in his career, he was an investment banking associate at Bear Stearns and a financial analyst at Cananwill. José earned his MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and his BA in Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame. Originally from Panama, he is fluent in Spanish and now lives in Scarsdale, New York, with his wife and three children.
