Laird Bieger

Laird Bieger is a Portfolio Manager at Baron Capital specializing in U.S. small-cap growth equities. His areas of expertise include consumer discretionary (gaming, lodging, retail, and restaurants), consumer staples, real estate, information technology, and industrials. He joined the Firm in 2000 as a Research Analyst and has 29 years of research experience. Prior to that, Laird was a short-selling research analyst at Water Street Capital, a long/short hedge fund. In between college and business school, he held various roles at Ford Motor Company. Laird earned his MBA from Columbia Business School and holds a BA in Economics from Vanderbilt University. Originally from Miami, Florida, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters.
