Michael Lippert

Michael Lippert is Head of Technology Research and a Portfolio Manager at Baron Capital, where he focuses on innovative, high-growth companies across industries. He joined the Firm as a Research Analyst and has 26 years of research experience. Previously, he was general counsel and a financial analyst at JLF Asset Management. Earlier in his career, he was a trial partner at Baker & Botts. Michael earned his JD from Columbia Law School and graduated summa cum laude from Tufts University with a BA in History. He is a CFA charterholder. Originally from Paramus, New Jersey, Michael played four years of college basketball, competed in triathlons, and spent more than 15 years coaching youth sports. He and his family love traveling and staying active outdoors.
